Here are some of the resources I use to save some money when I need to buy some new travel gear or shopping in general!

1) EBates

So here is an excellent tool that everyone should be using when shopping online, traveler or not.

All you have to do is click on this link sign up for a free account at EBates and shop through them. They give you back part of the commission they make for directing you to a retailer’s website. So, if you were planning on ordering a new sleeping bag on Amazon for your next trip, do it through EBates and get money back for your purchase. It’s honestly a WIN/WIN scenario for everyone who enjoys online shopping! You also get info on extra coupons and free shipping which is a great bonus. What are you waiting for? Start earning cash for your expenses!

2) Amazon (and most importantly Amazon PRIME!)

I’ve been using Amazon for a while now and Prime for a bit under a year. Now that we have 2-day shipping in Ottawa I am even more in love with it. Prices are usually way more affordable than buying it in a store, you can get cash back through Ebates (the service I mentioned above) to give you more incentive, and now you can get it in as little as a day or two. Who doesn’t love that? It’s only $99 CAD for one year, and if you’re a student, you can get it at a discount. Plus you get access to Prime Video which has tons of TV shows and movies to give you more selection for your Netflix and chill marathons (wink wink). If you’re not using prime yet, click the photo below and check it out.
